I've a 1998 B4000 2WD that needs to have its PCM/ECU replaced. As I understand it, the replacement'll have to be reprogrammed with the VIN at installation. Can anyone suggest a PCM programmer that'll do the job? I'd hate to take it to a dealer just for this, especially for a car that's long past its warranty period.
I looked at the Sniper Special Forces software as well as the SCT XCalibrator and Predator handheld units. Any comments on them? Any recommendation for other products?
