New to forum-have a seat question.

I bought an 2007 Mazda 6 two days ago.  I'm pretty tall(6'7") and allthough I have plenty on leg room,  my knee lays against the console and is a little uncomfortable.  I was wanting to know if there is a safe mod to the seat bracket to get the seat to go back just a little more.  I dont want to compromise safety, but I need just a little more room.  Thanks
