Hi, new first time user and need help.

My wife has a G reg MX5 which she loves.

We have a problem with the headlights, the lights work but the units wont pop back down, if you turn the dials on top of the servo units the lights pop up and down. I have been told I need to replace a relay, is this correct? If so where is it. I have stared blankly under the bonnett for about a week now but just can't seem to find it. Can't seem to get any help.

What year MX-5 do you have Authur. Early cars had a retractor relay under the hood but later years after 1994 moved the relay up under the dash. Make sure the headlight retractor switch on the dash is not pushed in for the 'up' position. Switch is between your center dash vents below the 'hazard' switch. Can sometimes get inadvertantly pressed and not realized. This would keep the headlight doors up all of the time also.
