2000 MPV w/110,000 miles...started up fine today but died in a couple seconds like no more fuel supply.  Subsequent cranks will not start and no strong gas fumes noted.  The gas tank is about 2/3 full, so I was wondering if it is the fuel pump.  If so, the replacement is an ordeal as it is through the floorboard/scuff board as mentioned by one other poster.  Any other possible component at fault?  Prior to this problem, engine ran fine but check engine light came on about two months ago.  I did not attach a reader to find out the problem because no success on my other cars with the reader.

I went through the exact same thing last month on my 2000 with 113000 miles.  I took it the the dealer and they replaced the IAC valve and cleaned the carbon buidup on the intake manifold.

If you want to check your fuel pressure the nozzel is under the throttle body you can turn on the ignition and push on the stem, be careful with your eyes.

Good luck with your Ford MPV.  I just but a deposit on a Chevy Suburban.  Yes they are bad on gas but don't break down as often and are easy to work on.
