I know this is a long shot but I'm looking for information on the Mazda Engine Control System (MECS) protocol. This is how the diagnostic port sends information to the various diagnostic tools. I've got a 93 rx7 and most reasonably priced models that support MECS don't support the rx. Any thoughts on how to get this are appreciated.
My goal is to creat a laptop tool to check/monitor some engine functions. Here is a product that does what I'm looking for but for a little more money I could get a pfc and I'm not looking to do that.
