Hey guys,
I had a recent tragedy in my family. My engine went out on me. I honestly think it was corrupted at a shop that I took it to for an oil change. After taking it to a few shops and then finally the dealer, Mazda told me that it had a bent rod. They ran compression tests and everything checked out. So, I did an engine swap and now I have a complete engine(intake manifold, water pump, wiring harness, etc.) on my hands. Looking online for the parts....its pretty expensive.
Other than the bent rod, the engine also has a cracked valve cover. That was a result of the used engine I bought having a cracked valve cover, so I had the shop swap those. This would be a good project engine or a good learning tool.
