hi everyone,

i have a new mazda 6 and when i leave my car out on a hot day, it has problems starting right away.  when i turn the ignition key, i hear the cranking noise (like when you hear if you have a dead battery).  it only starts after 15minutes of trying.  has anyone experienced this problem?  any help would be appreciated.

thanks

have you checked the starter or battery? there are lots of possible causes why it won't start: No petrol, no fuel pressure, injectors not being fired, no ignition spark - it could be because of a bad ignition coil or bad rotor arms, or there is a dirty connections. try to look on these things. a friend of mine had problem starting, after inspecting all his mazda 3 parts it turned out that his ignition module was bad.. good luck, hope yours would be fixed soon.

I am having this same problem but with my truck. I have been researching it a lot today and it seems like a pretty common mazda problem actually. I have done a bunch of crap to my truck with no results including the ignition module, fuel filter. battery, plugs/wires, and engine coolent temp sesor. Over all I think you might have the same demon possesing your car that is possesing mine. Good luck and let me know if ya ever fix it.
