I've got the Eibach Pro-kit springs on my sedan. 1.25" drop and I think it's perfect.

ive got tein basic coilovers on my five-door with a height drop comparable to tein's s-tech springs. i have a link to my car domain page in my signature...check it out.

I'm pretty sure I am going to put on Eibach's Prokit. Its just enough to make the 3's stance all that much better, and I hear the ride is comparable to stock.

It's a little stiffer than stock, but still more than acceptable for a daily driver. (Even on Michigan roads)

I just yesterday got the H&R account, I haven't even posted in my sponsorship section yet.
The H&R Sport Springs are 1.3" front, 1.2" rear. They also make adjustable coilovers, an adjustable front sway and a rear sway for the 3.
The H&R Sport Spring kit is $219.00 plus shipping.
