well i did tech support for comcast. They said i was sitting in a illegal staus on the phone not taking calls browsing the internet. They told me it was all recorded. When i asked to listen to it they wouldn't let me. I was pissed. The way they hired me was pretty crappy too. It happend about 2 or 3 weeks ago they sent me home the day it suppodsley happend and since then i had been asking what was going on with it, and they kept telling me its still under investigation. So yesterday i went to work like i normaly did and they waited like 2 hours and were like we need to have a meeting. They were like we're gonna have to let me go and during that time they packed my desk up and just threw all my stuff in a box. When i asked about my stuff they were like we have already packed your desk up its at the security desk i was like F***** this and left. I have never gotten fired from any job before it sucked :(

that is true i want to quit my job but dont have any were to work i am part time since im still in school they are always droping my pay with out telling me and then raising it

did you receive any warnings? where i work you can't be outright fired, you get 3 strikes. you may want to look into the legal end of this and challenge it.

na in the IT field they can get rid of you when ever they want for what ever they want. Its been a nice little vacation i went to the beach this past weekend. I started job hunting on monday and I got a few hits already. It looks like i will be starting my new job on monday the pay is not that great so i am still gonna keep lookin, but for now it will get the mortage paid

yeah i got me a new job already :) im glad it didn't take too long. Funds have been pretty low since i kicked my roommate out. It was well worth it though, i hate having a roommmate.

Beware...if your former employer can prove you shared their secrets, you could be prosecuted for Corporate Espionage (I'm sure when you hired into the company you signed a confidentiality agreement...you know, a legally binding document.) I've seen that happen plenty of times.

If I were in your shoes, I'd file myself a wrongful dismissal suit. You would win, and they would know this. Most likely, you would have been offered about 6 months wages as a settlement. So, depending on how much you made in a month, this could have been quite nice :)
By federal law, if an employee is being recorded on tape, or on camera, the recordings are a matter of public record. You should be able to review them, if that is their basis of firing you. Cleaning out your desk is a violation of 'sanctioned private property' Sanctioned meaning, it was your assigned desk, and your property was held within.
You got F'ed in the ass man :P
