Looking to buy a 96 626

Hi everyone. I don't know all too much about Mazdas but am currently looking to buy a 96 626. I just emailed the seller, but that's about as far as I am so far.

I was wondering if anyone could give me a briefing on this model. Specifically, the car is a 5sp, and I presume the 2.0l engine. It's got 196k miles on it. Think it's got a bit more life left?

There's a problem with 5th gear being hard to get into. Just a linkage alignment problem? Cheap to fix I hope.

Anything specific I should know? I believe the car is a dx. Has a spoiler and steel rims. And looks like no radio.

Seller is asking $550. Seems like a fair price to me, but then I noticed on edmunds that fair value for private party is more along the lines of $459. Guess I have a bit of leeway.

I apologize for not searching the forums before posting. Gotta head out to lunch and figure I'd put this down and hope for some replies :).
