I have a 94 mx6 with a V6 and 5 speed trans topping 160K miles. Yesterday while shifting from 3rd to 4th the shifter would not move into the 4th gear position. When I tried to downshift into 2nd it would not move into 2nd either. What I find is the trans is stuck in 3rd gear and has no neutral. Is this a common problem with a high milage trans and can it be repaired? The trans worked fine up to this point. Thanks in advance.
