I don't like the Mazda Ipod adapter. Has anyone found an external interface module to
provide an external audio input to the stock CX7 stereo with the single-cd player? - THX!!

Besides the cost, what don't you like about the Mazda I pod interface?
I have the Bose with the 6 disk changer in my CX with the Ipod addaptor.
While it does not list songs and allow to move to a specific song, it does allow you to set 6 different modes like artist, album, music type, random etc... and since I just set mine on randon and turn it on and drive. I don't "PLAY" with my I pod when driving so the lack of this feature is not an issue for me.
I can change mode, switch to radio etc using the steering wheel controls. The Dash controls allow me to choose between CD player and External device (IPOD).
It gets plugged in and left in my glove box and I just listen.
I got mine as part of my sales deal so the cost was not an issue for me as paying for it later.

Mazda should be coming out with an accessory AUX jack in the middle of 2007
they are still working the bugs out of it!
