That really SUCKS!!! I liked (the pics of ) your car A LOT!!! I would feel just as sick as you are right now, I'm sure.
I felt that way when I wrecked my '57 Chevy years ago. I was 16 and had wanted a '57 (focused on it in fact) since the age of 10. I was sick for 3 days afterward, so I think I know how you feel.
But (BUT!!!) I am so glad that YOU didn't go down w/the ship. Though it will be hard and not the same, you can replace the car. It's expendable in the end.
But as Mr. Miyagi said, "Licence never replace eye, ear and brain." I am soo glad you're OK.
Now "Go find de' balance!!"

Yeah, I'm glad I'm okay, but I feel terrible, especially after a whole week of ordering parts and working on the car to make it look perfect, then destroying it 3 hours after I had it back from paint.

If I could get another rolling Chassis, my best bet would be to swap the motor and all into it. I might just sell it to a friend.

After all the work you've put into it, I'd say strip it and rebuild!! A rolling 7 chassis couldn't be that hard to find, can it?

SORRY to hear that! and as everyone said at least you are o.k. you can replace cars but you can't replace people. The re-done paint job looked amazing! I hope you will be able to fix everything :(

dude get that fixed. can be a sweet project car, plus if you get it fixed then it would be like worth a lot of money

It won't fix. The uni-body is twisted and bent. And even if it could how many salvaged cars do you know of that are worth a lot of money? They are worth LESS after a major repair like that one would be. You'd practically have to cut the car in half and graft on a new one.
Sometimes you just have to cut your loses and move on.
Again, sorry Chris.

Thanks, it's either
A) find a nearly free rolling shell and move everything over
B) part it out
C) sell it as a whole to someone or a salvage company

dont sell it to a salvage yard. you will cry. guaranteed. what you can do is find someone who has the time to basically turn this into a rebuild.
I was sick over my car, and it was reparable...you must be near tears, if not at the point.
I think you should sell it and move on, find a different car.

but ya gotta think. it would be hard. its his baby. if i got into an accident. and it was totalled i would literally cry all the way to the scrapyard wishing my car farewell knowing that it will be crushed :(

Yeah, but...a wounded car is never the same anyway.

Good news guys
I've decided to keep it and to start saving for one with a blown or missing motor to swap all of the gear into. It'll become a summer project.

i am so sorry to hear that man. i lost a car almost a year ago and it still sucks. the moment of impact really sucks when you realize what's going on and can't do anything about it. i see that you got to keep the car for parts. that is probably the only good that will come out of it. you could get another one and have a parts car.
