I have a 2004 mazda 6 that I purchaced new.I am fixing to be out of factory warranty and have been looking for engine performance mods and cant find anything but cold air intakes.Does anyone know where to find any engine performance upgrades.Any info would be much appreciated.thanx.

I have the 3.0L 5speed.I have already upgraded my exhaust,stereo,and wheel/tire and suspension.But having a time trying to find any engine mods.

I don't know too much about the 6 cyl except that it is basically a Ford Durotech design.
I read an R&T tech correspondance a while back where someone w/an MX-6 asked basically the same question of the MX-6/Probe, 6 cyl engine engine. The answer was that Mazda considered the 6 cyl a "mom & pop" car engine and that upgrades were few and far between. You may (or may not) be experiencing this same problem.
