Hello, I'm from Sydney and would just like to say hello. I drive a 2003 Mazda Tribute Classic V6, & love it.
Does anyone take their Tribute off road? I do and it has never let me down. Here in Australia we don't get much snow, and when we do you can pretty much well drive around the Snowy Mountains in a 2wd vehicle without chains. Does any body take theirs into the dirt and mud?

Regards

I have a 2005 manual tranny AWD and recently took it out for a spin on a deserted Kansas road right after some heavy snowfall and before the snowplow made it out that way. It was a LOT harder to get it to slip & slide than my previous car. Then again that may not be saying much since my last car was an 88 Buick Century :) I'm pretty sure the AWD kicked in although I think the only evidence I noticed was a slight whine while accelerating that usually isn't there.

Other than that about the most extreme thing I've done is take it on a dirt road in Nebraska... and about all that did for me was make the car all dusty :)
