hard stasting 929 91

aney help 91 929 dohc 3.0 at new plugs new nutral safty switch car has 179000 mils on her .she starts well onecshe has started but cranks for 30 sec to 1min 30 sec before starting once running and shutoff car will fire right up ???have ored a shop book aney common cold start ills?? THANKS plugs and nutral safty stwitch wer not replaced out of trile and error nutral was bad car showed it was in park all the time .and is ajusted.

If I understand correctly, do you mean you have to crank it for a long time? If so, the first place I would check is a fuel filter. It can be restricted and starve the engine for fuel. The next item might be a engine temp sensor. It can be reading out of parameter and the engine computer cannot compensate.

would you know if the temp sensor on the 929 isa one or two pin plug thare ilike 3 sensors on the cooling sys? thanks &yep fule filter has probley never bean changed

The coolant temp sensor is a 2 wire , red/black and white/orange. You need to get the fuel filter changed very soon if it has never been done...that can be a major cause of the problem.

yep the 2gen 7 may donate its wireing harnes ,it will donate its brakes adn seats i drive a truck for wal mart so i get to see lots of wrecking yards , i call from a store and go look if they have antheing . i just havent called the right one/o ive gotten thare to late
