Hey
I have a 99 b2500 manual, and sometimes when i want to stop or slow down at a light or anywhere i put it in neutral, coast, and use my brake to come to a stop. This is where my problem is!!! As i start to slow down my RPM gage starts shooting to 4000 rpms and my engine starts screaming! This continues until i come to a complete stop!! It freaked me out the first time but now its getting annoying! Anyone have a clue as to whats going on????

Are you pushing the brake with your left foot with your right foot still over the gas? With the car out of gear, if you barely even touched the gas pedal with that right foot it would make it rev up.
Try braking with your right foot. (if you aren't already.)

No thats the thing if i just put it in neutral and not touch the brake or the clutch the rpms will still start to rise to about 4000 and then i come to a complete stop and then it goes down!

sticky throttle maybe, try some lube on the throttle and make sure the cables are free

Dont use wd-40 as lube... it collects dirt and dust... use motor oil... It works the best. I actually used gear oil that comes in a bottle that you can squirt out the little nipple thing...
