Electrical noise from AUX

I just bought a Mazda 3 SGT 4 door. Every time I put the power plug in one of my accessories (ipod & gps); I get electrical static form my device over the Bose speakers. Is this normal? Is there a fix?

Yes, this is common and it is very easy to fix. I learned of this problem last week when I bought my CX-9. You just need a Ground Loop Isolator like the one Crutchfield sells.
