I own a Mazda 626 ES (1994) with 128k.
When I start the car, the check engine light is most of the times off but after driving for 2/3 miles, it comes on at the same moment that the engine fail for 1 second....then, it does run normally but with the check engine light on.
The same problem happens every time I start the car, no matter what.
I took the car to the dealer and they found the codes 2, 26 and 41. Code 2 is related to the crank position sensor (out of range) and 26 and 41 to the #1 Vris solenoid valve.
If someone could illuminate my brain with good ideas or knowledge and tell me some possibles ways to fix it, I would appreciatte it very much.
