HI, EVERY ONE, HOW MUCH does changing a fuel filter cost, my tribute 02 v6 got 17 liters per 100k around city. thinking about changing it soon.

I believe the dealer charges around $75.

many thanks, I decided to have a go, my tribute does not seem to move very much when I did not press the accelerator with a D on.

Its easy to do yourself. The filter is very easily accessible...its in the middle of the car, drivers side. One bracket and two clips. Thats it.
Also check your air filter...that might have something to do with your poor acceleration.
And please chage your oil regularly.

many thanks, just got this 2002 v6, chnaged oil to castrol edge sport 5w-30, changed air filter to K and N, chnaged transmission oil by a dodgy mechanic(charged 160 AU$). will buy a cabin filter and if it is not hard as you recon, I will buy a fuel filter and DIY, it is just 35 bucks something.
