Another mod question - has anyone modded the bumper reflectors with an LED kit and wired to run with the back lamps/stop lamps? If so who's done it, and any pics of the install?

It's a very easy modification actually, I just don't know if anyone here has tried it or not, since I'm a new owner and haven't crawled behind the bumper yet to determine how to do it.
My last vehicle, a Santa Fe, I yanked out the reflector housings, drilled a couple holes for new stop/tail lamp sockets, wired/tapped them directly to the existing tails wiring harness and done deal. Nothing illegal about it actually. At least not around here. Even passes inspection without a word, unless......you have one of these bulbs burned out - they will say it needs replaced.
The only catch to stay legal is simply that the light being produced MUST be red in appearance. Does not matter if its just a second set of tails or brakes or both.
Wish I took a pick of mine lit up but all I have is a buddy of mines pic. My old ride is directly in front of his with the Hyundai logo on the rear window, but not lit up.

That's what I'm talkin bout!

Nice. Adds a little something missing in the rear.

ok I'm deffinately doing that for my rear sidemarkers, I already have bulbs in them but those LEDs burn so well and they are clear when not lit correct? I'm going for a no-side-marker look when they're off. It's in my black trim and if I put a clear lens over the marker and take out the reflections it will look like the black trim is solid, till they light up.

So you're going with clear lens and red LED's in the black trim? What about a smoked lens? Less reflection during the day and blends in smoother with the trim.
legalities, it probably wouldn't be DOT approved even though I want to tint my reverse and turn signal lenses as well as FTP lenses.
