Is regular air conditioning standard on the 5? The reson I'm asking is I'm getting mixed messages from the reviews. They say that AC is standard and that AC with auto climate control is optional, but I can't find anything in the brochures that states ACis standard Equipement. I hope it it as AC seems to come standard on just about every car these days? If not, what's it like without the air?

great, thanx! but that does make climate control an expensive option! It's $1100. Ho well I guess thta falls in line with the $700 they want for a mp3 playing stereo!

Jacked, how do you figure that? autoclimate control is listed as an option for both the GS and GT. Can you point me to where I can find that information?

The Canadian and & U.S. Mazda 5 seem to come with different packaging and options.
All Canadian model come with the Automatic Climate Control feature.
Have a look at the
MAZDA CANADA BROCHURE

thanx for the link, but the brochure definitely shows it as an option. Anyway I ws finally able to talk to a dealer today and confirm that AC (manual) is standard on all Mazda5's Now if only they have sidecurtin airbags and cruse control on the GS. Those ar the only 2 features of the GT I want. Don't really need the moon roof! Oh well GT here I come!

This is exactly what is going on. Same with the models sold in the UK (for instance, we don't get any diesel engines).
