A guy a the Mazda dealership I was bs-ing with said that aftermarket fuel components (pump, rail, injectors, etc.) would make more power for my engine. Is this true, or is the fuel system there to support the power the engine already has? If so, how powerful can you make the 3's engine without having to upgrade the fuel components? Can somebody fill me in on fuel?

imo, the only way you'd make power from fuel mods is if your adding a turbocharger and stuff. cuz the stock injectors and fuel pump wont be able to keep up, i.e. they wont be able to supply enough fuel, so you lose power because you can only increase the boost so much.
so in a way, they do increase horsepower, in a way

They only increase power if you can tune it to match the new components and if you have increased flow through the engine to support those parts. You can't tune the stock Mazda ECU, so unless you are planning on a piggyback or stand-alone fuel management separate from the stock ECU, don't waste your money.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the input.
