The bulbs will plug into the females... just like a std tungsten bulb would.  Easy! 
If the turn signals flash too fast, or the brake lights "bleed" over, you would have to clamp on a ballast, that's all.

Ok I looked into what I needed, and researched LEDs. If I got the setup I wanted, it'd cost $64 USD (4 red 1157 type clusters w/24 diodes, and 2 amber/2white 1156 type clusters w/ 24 diodes) ^.^  That's a little pricey.

Well, just an idea... an option.
But really $64/8 bulbs doesn't sound all that bad to me, and as long as they are not damaged physically should theoretically last the life of the car.
 
 

Maybe later down the line. But I'd have to find out what's in my 3rd brake light. It would be embarassing if my tails lit faster than it. I do LOVE the tradeoff of LEDs.

i got LED reverse lights, and led parking lights on my 3.
i tihnk the parking lights cost me about $28 each, and the reverse lights were $20 each.
but they were so worth it, and all you do is remove the halogen bulb, and insert the led one, and your done!
no rewiring at all.
and ~$60 isnt that bad at all. also, led's are brighter, and of course, they turn on and off faster too.
the one thing i like about em, is that they instantly go on.
think of it this way. when you signal, the light quickly turns on, then off. but you can see it fad on and off.
with led's, its just on and off.

i dont have anything.. but thats because i cannot afford it HA. oh well.. there are always dreams

I may keep the turn signals though, just because I like that fading effect when it comes to turn signals.

Kind of agree w/you there 87.  I was behind a BMW a coupla' weeks ago that had LED turns and I wasn't impressed one way or the other.  I could take or leave them.
 
BTW: I wouldn't be surprised if your "3rd" had a 194 or 2 (or equivalent) in it.

those are some beautiful shots... i cant do that right now... because there is about a foot of snow on the ground. so all you would see is my car covered in snow!

i like the new tails, they kinda remind me of the FD rx7's.
 
also, i didnt know you guys got 'fall' in georgia...
the trees are either naked, or dead...

of course we have fall. And I still can't get over my new tails. Here they are in their prime (IMHO) they look so much better at night. Thanks for looking, I really like these pics. I'll probably do a wholenother photoshoot or 2 before I have to go back to school Tuesday.

Hey Tracker (Nate I think, I'm bad with names) if it isn't my favorite MF (mazda forum not.... what you probably thought it was haha) I wanted you to see these tails because you and I go way back. I was just thinking how this forum used to be like a tight-knit family and missed it. You and I used to talk a lot. I'll get on AIM in hopes to catch ya. Uh lets see more dents, cel still comes on when it feels like it, beat an integra, painted grille, new led taillights that come with blinding reverse lights, still making plans that i have no money to do...i think that covers it.

hmm..thats wierd. ive been thru georgia on my way to florida one winter, and im pretty sure all the trees there had leaves....and im pretty sure it was warm there too...

Our fall comes later... much later than yours.  I was still mowing lawn in November.
 
 

The leaves on our trees start to brown in october when they normally do. But soemtimes they don't start really falling until early december. If/ when we get snow, it's almost ALWAYS late January early February.
