2000 mpv belt tensioner adjustment

I am considering replacing my alternator but have no idea how to release the tension on, and readjust, the belt tensioner. Any suggestions would be appreciated.   

Just crawled out from under the van. I've figured out the tensioner adjustment but now, even after removing the splash guard, I can see no way the alternator will come out without removing some major front end or exhaust components. Any hints
