I am currently building a prostreet Miata to run in the Killer Street classes at the local drag strip. The car is 75% complete and should be running before this season ends. I have the rear of the car done and I'm currently fitting the Ford 351W block into the engine compartment. The final result will be a DOT legal 1991 Miata with 29x18.50's on a narrowed 9" Ford powered by a 408cid stroked Ford 351W and C-4 Automatic. This car should easily be in the 5's in the 1/8th and low 9's 1/4th. I have numberous pictures and will post more periodically. I am currently having problems routing the exhaust. I know kits a available for the 302 (5.0L) swap that exits between the frame and K-member. But these will not work for the wider Windsor. I am running a front motor plate, and probably will have to route the exhaust forward using a good shortie header reversed (right on left and so on), then u-turn and go between the A-arms.
